The house was known as Tŷ Mawr and, in English, Great House. Older names for a holding at Llandough appear in research notes on the wiki: Cwm-Cedwyn, the wooded dell on the River Ely; and Cydwin or Cydfin in estate papers. The documents behind those notes are still being traced, so they are given here with their status plainly marked.
1392 — Cwm-Cedwyn in the Llandough boundary records
What the record shows. A research note records that in 1547 Sir George Herbert granted Vaughan a lease of Cydwin in the manor of Llandough for 1,000 years.
What it does not show. The lease is not yet held and its parties, date and extent are SOURCE PENDING. No link to the farmhouse is made by the note alone.
