Catalogue description (verbatim): “Papers relating to Welsh anti-fluoridation campaigners … Newspaper cuttings, 1981-1982; Correspondence with various anti-fluoridation supporters and campaigners, 1972-1982; Transcript from an Isle of Anglesey Borough Council meeting …”.

Why it is listed: per Sion Buckler (voice note, 19 Oct 2026): “Mary Williams was doing something to do with a guy with fluoride and they were doing political stuff about government overreach.” If she wrote to the national campaign in 1972–82, this is where a letter would be (inference).

Cuts against: Cardiff and the Vale were never fluoridated; in 1987 the only fluoridated areas in Wales were in Gwynedd and Powys (Hansard, 23 Mar 1987). No document found on the wiki, the family sites or in correspondence mentions fluoride.

Proves: Nothing yet.

Does not prove: Any link between Mary (Nancy) Williams and a fluoride campaign.
