What the courts decided, and what the record leaves open

The High Court in 1986 and the Court of Appeal in 1987 decided possession and limitation. Paper title was not in issue.
From 1955 to 1988 the family held the house through every court action brought against it, and has asked for the records ever since.
The High Court (trial 24 July 1986) and the Court of Appeal ([1987] EWCA Civ 2) decided possession and limitation in BP Properties Ltd v Buckler, in favour of the registered owner from 1982/83. Paper title was not in issue (catalogue EV-0074, EV-0080).
The Primary Record Register lists the questions each record still has to answer, such as what parcels and plan the 1955 possession order covered, and which issues fell outside the 1986–87 determination.
