Master screenplay and source ledger
Cedwyn documentary · development brief · 31 October 2026
The documentary is intended to retell the whole documented story of Great House Farm / Tŷ Mawr and the Williams–Buckler family, including the women and men who shaped the estate, the landscape and community, the land and title history, the institutional record, litigation and demolition, the subsequent recovery of records, and the proposed Patagonia heritage project. It is not a short film that merely argues one legal position.
Narrative standard
Every scene and factual beat must be traceable to a primary artifact, source location and canonical evidence identifier wherever available. The script will distinguish contemporary records, later testimony, official accounts, interpretation, inference, contested legal propositions and dramatic reconstruction. Contradictory material and evidence that weakens a theory must remain visible in the research ledger. Generated dialogue and visual reconstructions must never be represented as archival recordings.
The story must cover the whole chronology where supported: Welsh place and parish context; historic settlement and manorial questions; family genealogy and matriarchy; women’s property and agency; farming, quarrying and village life; landholding and successive legal interests; architecture, archaeology and landscape; the 20th-century decisions and court proceedings; eviction and demolition; subsequent transfers and registrations; records searches, disclosures and unanswered questions; the modern investigation; and Great House Farm II as a proposed future heritage project.
Scene production sequence
Nominal two-minute units follow the approved master sequence. No agent jumps ahead or chooses a convenient scene at the expense of continuity.
Screenplay, source map, storyboard, shots, cast/voice permissions, set/prop/wardrobe, choreography, camera, lighting, sound and continuity.
Historical, factual, legal wording, rights, creative quality, accessibility and continuity gates before release.
Existing production material
The current documentary repository contains scene-script records F001–F010 with English, Welsh and Spanish subtitle files. They are retained as existing production artifacts and must be audited against the full source ledger before material changes or re-rendering. The public documentary page currently describes a planned 148-scene sequence. The scene count and order may change as the complete script is developed; changes must be logged and versioned.
Semantic release policy
| Version | Meaning | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| MAJOR | Narrative or structural reset | Reordered acts, revised central framing or full continuity redesign |
| MINOR | New or materially revised scene/sequence | Additional disclosure, new scene, recreated sequence or major factual revision |
| PATCH | Correction or production refinement | Subtitle, mix, grade, edit, continuity or factual correction that does not alter the overall structure |
Every released scene retains its script, evidence map, prompts, model/tool/version, rights and consent records, rendered files, reviewer notes and changelog. New disclosures trigger a scene-impact review. A previous scene may be recreated and re-released when the new information materially changes what a fair and accurate telling requires; the earlier cut is preserved and clearly superseded rather than silently deleted.
Model and rights verification
Any proposed generative-video service, including ByteDance/BytePlus OmniHuman 2.0, must be verified through an official or licensed route before use. Agents must check availability, capabilities, output quality, commercial rights, consent and likeness rules, data handling, API access and cost per approved scene. An independent wrapper is not presumed to be an official ByteDance service. No paid plan is selected by assumption.
Governance and tasking
The documentary bible and complete script are developed under the HubSpot WP3 master-screenplay task. Sequential scene production and model verification are tracked in WP4. Programme-wide coordination follows the Cedwyn Snowball protocol. The HubSpot tasks are the operational work register; this page is the public production brief.
This page is a development brief, not the completed screenplay. As scenes and the master script pass review, approved versions and source coverage will be linked here. Corrections and new disclosures will be documented in the release history.
