Disposition
Not our farm (Garth, near Pontypridd). Context only.
What it does and does not establish
The cottage was held “under a lease dated 1878, from the trustees of the Marquis”; the Garth Commoners’ Association said the land was originally part of Garth Mountain Common; the judge referred to “a similar case … Western Ground Rents v. E. Rees”. Shows Western Ground Rents litigating Bute-derived title against a long occupier in 1947. It establishes nothing about Great House Farm.
Next step / retained route
Only relevant if the “Western Ground Rents v. E. Rees” case turns out to concern Llandough land (SOURCE PENDING).
