If you sign up we keep your email address, the date, the page you signed up on and your confirmation (double opt-in). Lawful basis: your consent (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); PECR reg. 22). Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to team@bucklerfamily.estate. The mailing service is Mailchimp (Intuit), which stores the list under a data processing agreement and may process it in the United States under the UK International Data Transfer Addendum / UK–US data bridge.

Payments are taken by Stripe (and, for some titles, Gumroad). They collect your name, email, card and billing details to take the payment and deliver the file; the archive receives the order record (name, email, what you bought) to deliver the book and keep sales records. Lawful basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and the legal duty to keep sales records (Art. 6(1)(c)). Card numbers are never seen or stored by the archive.

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web server it processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and stop abuse; the archive sees only counts (pages viewed, country). There are no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in running a secure site (Art. 6(1)(f)).

One preference cookie and your browser’s local storage remember choices such as light or dark mode and language. They are strictly necessary for the feature you chose, so they need no consent under PECR. If analytics or other non-essential cookies are ever added, you will be asked first.

Sign-up data: until you unsubscribe, then a suppression record (your email only) so that you are not written to again. Order records: 6 years (UK tax rules). Server logs: as kept by Cloudflare, typically days.

You can ask for a copy of your data, correction, deletion, restriction or objection, and you can withdraw consent at any time: write to team@bucklerfamily.estate. If you are unhappy with the answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).
