Shows: Bute sold "nearly the whole of the Mountjoy estate" to a single buyer (press). The manors, the castles and some named lands were kept back, so the manorial title of Llandough stayed with Mountjoy in 1938 (manors disposed of 1950–57, EV-0027). A Cardiff strip was reported transferred to Western Ground Rents with other Bute property the previous December (Western Mail, 14 Jun 1939). In Leckwith the lettings run Bute (1925) → Mountjoy (1934) → WGR (1944). The 25 Dec 1938 conveyance is known from recitals in later documents; the deed has not been examined.
Does not show: No record names a second grantee under the 25 Dec 1938 deed, and none states whether Great House Farm or Parcel B was included. No DBDT Llandough-juxta-Penarth instrument names Mountjoy.
