In November 1958 Mary (Nancy) Williams told Glamorgan County Council's planning committee the water had been cut off "for nearly 10 years by order of Western Ground Rents" (Western Mail, 20 Nov 1958). A disconnection on a landowner's instruction would leave a works order or account record.
Who should hold it: Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water (successor to the Cardiff water undertaking); Glamorgan Archives (council water committee minutes)
Date of the record: c.1949–1958
