An agreed bid for the whole of Western Ground Rents Ltd

British Petroleum makes an agreed bid for the whole of Western Ground Rents Ltd, wanting its “shops, offices, houses in London and South Wales — for their pension fund”, after rival bids from Amalgamated Investment & Property and Great Portland Estates. The sale of the farm to BP Pension Trust follows on 31 December 1969.
