Related evidenceEV-0080 (Court of Appeal, 1987: no grant to Mrs Buckler’s estate by July 1987)

Quotation (verbatim): “BUCKLER, William Beverley of [Penarth] S Glam died 29 April 1990 Administration Llandaff 11 July Not exceeding £115000”.

Fits with: A probable match for William (Billy) Buckler, born 25 August 1948 per the Court of Appeal judgment (aged 41 at death). Letters of administration (no will) were granted on 11 July 1991, so an administrator of his estate was appointed. The negative searches are consistent with the Court of Appeal’s statement that no grant had been taken in his mother’s estate by July 1987.

Cuts against: The calendar gives 29 April 1990; the storyboard gives 29 May 1990 at Llandough Hospital; an email to HMLR gives 1991 (the grant year). The middle name “Beverley” and the address are not elsewhere in the record, so the identification is not proven. An index search with no hit is not proof of absence, and her estate was not searched under “Williams, Mary”.

Notes: The death certificate would settle the date (SOURCE PENDING).
