Shows: Mountjoy Ltd was formed in May 1922 with £1,000,000 capital "to take over Lord Bute’s life interest in all the estates in South Wales and Scotland" and traded as "Mountjoy, Limited (Bute Estate, Cardiff)". In 1932 "the annual court leet dinner given by Mountjoy Estate, Ltd." was held at the Merry Harriers’ Hotel, Llandough. A Mountjoy Limited at Queen Anne’s Gate went into members’ voluntary winding-up in 1955 (same company probable, not proven).
Does not show: A company taking a tenant for life’s "life interest" would not by itself hold the fee simple; who conveyed the legal estate in 1938 — Mountjoy, Bute, the settlement trustees or all of them — is a question the 1938 deed will answer.
