Related evidenceWelsh Government ATISN 26-0010 (EV-0244), which searched only the farm name and two company names

Quotation (verbatim): “The Stopping-up of Highways (Old Barry Road, Llandough, Penarth, South Glamorgan) Order 1992. The Secretary of State for Wales hereby gives notice that, following a public local inquiry held on 5th November 1991, he has made the above Order under section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping-up of the highway described in the Schedule to this notice to enable the development of a residential property, for which planning permission has been granted, to be carried out.”

Fits with: The record shows the Welsh Office made a highways order in Llandough after a public inquiry in 1991–92, so Welsh Office files for Llandough of that period existed. Welsh Government searches under ATISN 26-0010 used the farm and company names, not road or place names.

Cuts against: WHETHER OLD BARRY ROAD TOUCHES GREAT HOUSE FARM LAND IS NOT VERIFIED. It may concern a different part of Llandough. It post-dates the 1987 judgment, so it cannot move any reopening limb on its own.

Notes: Useful as a search key for Welsh Government and Vale of Glamorgan records requests (order title, inquiry date).
