Related evidenceWGR v Buckler possession order, 11 Dec 1962 (EV-0030)

Quotation (verbatim): Exchanges involving Sir Keith Joseph, George Thomas and James Callaghan on WGR; the Minister met WGR’s chairman and general manager.

Fits with: WGR had direct lines to ministers on leasehold policy in the weeks around the 11 December 1962 WGR v Buckler possession order. The 1946 debate names “Western Ground Rents or the Mountjoy Estate” as separate ground landlords, so the 1938 sale did not take all Bute/Mountjoy property.

Cuts against: Nothing in the texts mentions Llandough, Great House Farm or the Buckler or Williams families. No link to the case is shown; this is not evidence of government involvement in the case.

Notes: Context only.
