The 1955 possession order is enforced. The 1987 Court of Appeal judgment records that “possession was taken in respect of all parts of the farm except the farmhouse and garden”, and that Mrs Mary Buckler “had recently come out of hospital after having had a leg amputated and was objecting very strongly to leaving the farmhouse”. The parts taken most likely included the Parcel-A forest north of the house and the south-east ground later registered as VG41. Mary (Nancy) Williams kept the farmhouse and garden; that group was not the full extent of Parcel A.
