Why it is not ours: A neighbouring farm in the same parish.

Record or assertion tested
Llandough Farm, the Rees family farm ( EV-0228 ; 1841 tithe, press 1865–1910), the 1940 WGR tenancy to David and Thomas Thomas ( EV-0233 ), and the dictated “R-W-S-S / Reese’s Farm” wording ( EV-0223 )
Disposition
Separate farm. Directories list Thomas Rees at “Llandough” beside John Williams at “Great house” (1868, 1875, 1880). Llandough Farm is also the Roman villa site excavated in 1978–79 (GGAT HER).
What it does and does not establish
Useful for telling the two farms apart. “R-W-S-S” is not on the photographed 1881 census page 2 ( EV-0224 ). Some press items call John Williams “of Llandough Farm” (1895, 1904), so the name alone does not settle which farm.
Next step / retained route
Keep separate from the Great House chain unless a document joins them.
