The e-book pipeline

Short books made from material the estate already holds, ranked by how ready the material is and who would buy them. A draft is built by the same flywheel each week; publishing and prices wait for the Executive's decision.

1 · The Llandough Tour Companion

Draft v0.01 built · 25 pages · PDF and EPUB

The nine tour stops as a pocket book: the guide's story, the headset scene, what stands there today, and the catalogue records behind each stop (32 records), with the Welsh text of every stop. Built from the live tour page, so it updates when the tour text changes.

Why first: it pairs with the gift voucher, gives every tour guest a reason to join the list, and is short enough to finish. Waiting on: a publishing decision and price; the timed route from the pilot walk.

Notes found while building: the tour page gives 11 May 1897 for the first messages from Lavernock, while most published accounts give 13 May 1897 for the first message received across the water; stops 4 and 5 have no catalogue record yet.

2 · La visita de Llandough (Spanish edition)

Material ready · low effort

The same book from the Spanish stop texts already on the tour page, for readers in Patagonia and the Welsh-Argentine community. Draft v0.01 built 26 October 2026: 22 pages, PDF and EPUB. The front pages need review by a native speaker before any release.

3 · The Twelve-Year Clock

Material ready · editorial rewrite needed

The limitation clocks behind the case explained plainly: the twelve-year period for land, the twelve-year life of a possession order, and the dated events either side of each. A working dossier exists; the public book needs a rewrite to the site's citation rules.

4 · The 1938 Sale

Material partly ready

The Christmas 1938 sale of the Bute estate's Cardiff ground rents, the company that bought them, its lenders, and the 1968 contest for that company, from the press and records gathered by the research cycles.

5 · Missing Records

Waits for 25 missing-record pages

A register of records that should exist and have not been produced, each with why it should exist and who should hold it. Built from the intelligence flywheel's missing-records catalogue.

6 · Who Answered, Who Stayed Silent

Waits for the information-request matrix

Every public body asked, what it answered, what it withheld and under which exemption, drawn from the disclosure record.

Our case is prospective; nothing here is a finding of any court or legal advice.

Small print: dotted links explain a word (see the glossary); amber-shaded links list every name the records use for the same thing.
